The "Winter Blues at Market
Street Booze" tournament, held at Market
Street Cafe (Charlestown, Maryland) on January
20-21, 2006 was a great success and had some
awesome competition. Before play, we had a
moment of silence for Jim McDaniels who passed
away on Thursday night at 7pm before the
tournament. Jim, who had been struggling
with health problems for some time, will be
greatly missed by all.
As usual, the Market Street owners
(Chip & Bobbi Spangler) and staff (special
kudos to Debbie) did a wonderful job hosting
this tournament and serving the players.
The Draw Partner was held on
Friday, followed by a Singles event on
Saturday. Winners of both events were:
