Message from Kansas City Shoot-out (MO)

A message to the Shuffleboard Community: (January 10, 2010)

It is with great sadness I must announce the cancellation of the Kansas City Shoot-out. Due to circumstances out of my control, I must suspend the tournament at least for now.

I would also like to thank each and everyone of those players who supported the tournament those very short eight years. Without you there would have been no tournament.

If there were anyway to continue this great tournament that was feasible for everyone involved believe me I would have continued it. This was probably the most difficult decision I have ever had to make.

The shuffleboard community is like my second family and I hope this decision in no way comes between us.

Hi Lynda, We can not remember if we dropped you an email in August to let you know that we are no longer in business and that we are not active in shuffleboard. We hope that 2010 will be good for you and your family.

The TSA Directors thank you for your long-time support of shuffleboard and the TSA organization. It saddens all to have a major establishment or tournament shut-down such as KC Shoot-out, Whistling Oyster and also Danny's Sports Bar in Houston, Texas (as most have already been informed about Danny's via emails from Mahlon Nobles). We wish all the best in their new endeavors and thank you for all your dedicated support over the years. Thanks for letting the shuffleboard community know of these closures, cancellations, and/or any other updates to 2010 tournament plans or establishment changes, as players are planning their vacations and shuffleboard establishment visits for 2010.

A message to the Shuffleboard Community: (January 2010)

The TSA wishes to welcome a new sponsor who joined in late December: Country Live (Redneck Paradise) in Dayton, Texas for 2010. They report to have a large parking area and room for RV parking. TSA Member & Sponsor Renewals due for 2010:

For all who have not yet paid/renewed your TSA member or sponsor dues, they are due to be made current on/before January annually. The mail list for the March 2010 Issue closes on February 10, 2010 . If you have moved recently, please remember that the US Post Office does not forward Presorted Mail, so you must let us know directly of any/all address and/or contact information changes before the mail list closing date.

Newsletter Content Deadlines for 2010:

The deadline for member & sponsor content submissions for inclusion the first quarterly TSA printed/mailed 2010 newsletter (March 2010 Issue) is February 5, 2010.

MANY THANKS to all individual members and sponsors who have sent in their memberships and sponsorships for 2010! To maintain our annual dues and services rates, we do not mail out invoices, so we appreciate all your help sending in your renewals timely and making sure we have current contact information (including change of mail, phone or e-mail address updates).

NOTE: Start out the New Year right and send us your 2010 Calendar of events, especially for those planning major tournaments, as many players have to turn in vacation plans at the beginning of the year and start making travel plans early.

We are in process of updating and posting our Upcoming Calendar of Events 2010 in the days ahead (and include all received before the deadline in the March 2010 issue), So, please send us your dates/location/etc. even if you do not yet have your flyer details ready to publish.
