Mims, Florida (Nov. 24-27, 2005): The
"11th Annual Florida State Championships 2005" tournament
was held at the Fill-N-Station in Mims, Florida. Many thanks to
our host, Doug Roberts, and his great staff for the food preparation
on all tournament days and also for his (2) tournament shirt donations
to the third place finishers of the "Bring Partner" even
(recipients of these two shirts were Georjean Brown and Mike Parish of
Land-O-Lakes, Florida). Many thanks to the Fill-N-Station for
providing a great site with wonderful hospitality for this very nice
Florida State Championship tournament. Thanks to all attendees
& volunteers. A great time was had by all.
Notable:
On Saturday (just before Men's Singles), we paid our tribute to 17
deceased league and tournament players by throwing a weight for each
of the 17 "Gone, but not Forgotten" players (see 1st photo
in below album).
